Outreach - Get Involved!

Food Pantry

The Second Sunday of EVERY month is Food Pantry Sunday. Please bring a donation of beans and rice to church the second Sunday of each month. If you would like to volunteer at the Food Pantry please contact the church office for available dates.

Food donations are accepted any time and you can leave your donation in in the blue tubs located at the front doors of the Gathering Room.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritans Purse. Bethel UMC is a local collection point and every fall collects shoeboxes from other area churches as well hosting our own packing parties. Each month we encourage that certain items be purchased and stored for packing in the fall. Contact the the church office or refer to the church bulletin to see what we are currently collecting.

To learn more about this outreach please visit the Operation Christmas Child website.

United Methodist Missions

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a not for profit organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR's work reaches people in more than 80 countries, including the United States. We provide humanitarian relief when war, conflict, or natural disaster disrupt life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own.

UMCOR is a ministry of the United Methodist Church, and our goal is to assist the most vulnerable persons affected by crisis or chronic need without regard to their race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. We believe all people have God-given worth and dignity.
